Hong Kong-ing days: Yi Wen Ji

So the other day i went out to eat steam boat with my uncle at a nearby restaurant.

Nice place, crowded though, i guess the most famous dish of this restaurant must be this:

This plate of chicken only cost one dollar Hong Kong ! Which is like 20 cent singapore dollar, holy crap it's like damn cheap, i am surprise that this restaurant haven't file for bankruptcy yet.



But actually a story behind it, quite some years ago, i think ten, Hong Kong was facing recession, so in order to promote business, the manager came up with Yi Wen Ji, translated as one dollar chicken. Whether it was actually to promote sales was hard to be determinded, it could be that the manager was simpily under too great a stress and have lost it.

Tough choice ..hrm..

What do they see in beer anyway, it's so bitter and yucky, but then since we are man, we have to drink it and say it tastes good, just so we appear more man, but the truth is it's bitter !
